In November 2023, we encountered an account health issue with Amazon that was caused by the fact we did not sell on the platform, but instead only contributed catalogue edits. In order to continue editing our catalogue, we must show Amazon some sales volume of our own. By creating our own sales volume, we will have access to Amazon promotional and marketing options previously unavailable to us, and we are going to use these new tools to promote new and slow-moving Henbrandt product lines. Once the selected product lines are selling to our satisfaction, we will hand them over to our customers and stop selling on them entirely ourselves.
We will continue not to sell on Amazon against our customers. The lines we launch for sale will be purely to launch or boost new or slow-moving items (with the exception of our exclusive items which are not available on our website). We will not start selling a product against a seller already on any given ASIN without engaging with that seller first, and without their agreement we won’t sell on it at all. We will commit an advertising budget to each and every new product, helping it gain traction, reviews and search ranking – once we feel this has been achieved we will deplete our Amazon inventory and cease to sell that product. We hope our customers will then take over selling on any given ASIN and take advantage of our hard work. We will share in the success of our customers as they purchase more inventory from us.
We will operate our Amazon account with complete transparency – from the products we sell to the products we plan to sell in the future. To this end, we make three core commitments to our customers:
Our Amazon policy has been designed with our customers at the forefront of our minds, and we strongly believe that this program will benefit our seller customers. Any seller who is concerned about how they will be impacted by the Henbrandt-on-Amazon program should contact us directly. We will engage in good faith with any seller to fully address any concerns that they might have with honesty and transparency.
No. For existing lines, we will only look to promote them on Amazon if they are poorly performing. If you purchase a significant volume of a product then it is unlikely we would consider it poorly performing. We will engage in good faith with any customer who holds inventory of any product we plan to promote in order to make sure they aren't negatively impacted by our actions.
